Bideford Business Start-up Programme

In partnership with the Bideford Bridge Trust, who provide grants of up to £4,500
to successful applicants.

Criteria

- be living in Bideford or the surrounding area
- have a business idea
- be unemployed (or have business idea likely to employ others who might be unemployed)
- be unable to finance the start-up from own means

What We Offer

You can apply to Torridge Training Services and you will be interviewed by a TTS advisor/mentor and given support as appropriate.

If your business idea is viable you will be given support to produce a Business Plan and to prepare to ‘pitch’ your business idea to the Bridge Trust.

Once ready, the applicants Business Plan is submitted to the Bridge Trust and they meet with the Grants Panel, which is comprised of two Trustees.

If your business idea doesn’t appear to be viable, you will be signposted to other opportunities, within TTS, or with other organisations.
